Policies & Procedures

We strongly believe that your time is valuable as ours and we make every attempt to start your appointment at the scheduled time. In our commitment to providing a unique and outstanding experience to all our clients and out of consideration for our therapists’ time, we have adopted the following policies:

Cancellation Policy and Fees

Your therapy times are reserved exclusively for you. We value your business and ask that you respect our scheduling policies. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance.

*Any cancellations with less than 24-hour notice are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the service cost. *

​

*Any cancellations within 4 hours of appointment time are subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the service cost. *

 

We recognize the time of our clients and staff is valuable and have implemented this policy for this reason. When you miss or cancel an appointment with us, our therapists lose your business and the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time. For these reasons, we are obligated to compensate our staff for their time.

 

Booking Services

To help ensure that you obtain your desired appointments, we recommend scheduling your appointment as far in advance as possible to ensure availability. *Please note a deposit of 25% for each duration is required when booking all sessions. A credit card is also required at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation. * We hold this information as part of our cancellation policies and only make necessary charges to your account on the date of your scheduled service. Details of our cancellation policy are provided above. The deposit will go toward the cost of your session. The remaining balance and any additional services/enhancements will be due at the end of the service. Before finishing the booking process, you must fill out, sign, and complete all forms.

Informed Consent

Prior to each massage session, the treatment plan will be discussed with you. By scheduling your first visit with us you will be expressing verbal consent for our services and agree to comply with the professional massage therapy practices and our policies and procedures.

Existing and New Medical Conditions

It is the responsibility of the client to keep the massage therapist informed of any medical treatment currently being taken and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that the massage may be continued. The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions.

*Please notify the therapist of any allergies or sensitivities to aromas or ingredients when you schedule your appointment. *

Massage Start time

Please arrive for your appointment 5-10 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. This allows us the time to prepare for the service and discuss each client’s needs before we begin. All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule and early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience. If you are unable to make it to your appointment on time your service may be shortened to keep on schedule and the original treatment time may be charged.

 

Late Arrival / Late Start Policy

All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule therefore we regret that if you arrive late to your appointment or must start your session later than scheduled, you may not receive an extension of appointment. In special cases, and when our schedule will allow, we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment extension. This will be at our discretion and only if our schedule allows for it. If the therapist arrives after the start time, then the client will automatically receive the full time of their session.

Scope of Practice

Miracle Massage is held to the highest standards of the American Massage Therapy Association. Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client. Licensed Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe medical conditions. We may refer you to a medical doctor for diagnosis or treatment. Our services are not intended as an alternative for proper medical attention for specific conditions. Please refer to a medical doctor for any specific condition which requires medical treatment.

Respect for Client Needs and Boundaries

Our Massage Therapists are happy to adjust pressure, temperature, and musical volume, work longer on an area or move on if you request it. The client may choose to: leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, and stop massage at any time. The client will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate.

 

Confidentiality and Conversation

We treat all client visits and conditions as confidential. As such, we will not discuss your visit with anybody outside our staff without your permission. You may choose to talk or not talk during the massage. The conversation will be guided by the client’s direction.
